The Harmonizing and Improving Statistics in West Africa Project is a regional project financed by the World Bank. It strengthens the statistical systems of participating countries, including Côte d'Ivoire, to harmonise, produce, disseminate and promote the use of economic and social statistics.
In Côte d'Ivoire, the project supports four direct beneficiaries and acts across the whole value chain: collection, processing, quality, dissemination, skills and the use of data by decision-makers.
Understanding PHASAO →
Message from the supervising minister
« PHASAO is a major opportunity to strengthen the availability of reliable, harmonised statistics for public policy. I encourage all stakeholders to fully engage in this effort to modernise our statistical system. »
Message from the Director General of the National Statistics Agency
« Through PHASAO, we reaffirm our commitment to producing and disseminating quality data. Credible and accessible statistics are essential to inform decisions and support our country's development. »
Message from the TTL
« Data is the foundation of every informed public policy. Without reliable, comparable, and accessible statistics, it is impossible to measure progress made, identify persistent inequalities, or design effective development interventions. This deep conviction lies at the heart of the HISWA Project and guides each of its ambitions for Côte d'Ivoire. »
